Herbology Room in Progress

I still have a few major items to work on in the downstairs kitchen of the pub, but I hate it when things look too clean. For fun, I tried my hand at a sprouting potato made from Femo. I think it looks fun next to the messed up door frame. I also spilled a bit of "salt" on the work table where the cook is putting together some bean salad. I was pretty happy with how the salt and pepper shakers came out. I made the tops by very carefully placing one drop of silver paint on top of the two tiny plastic lids.

your salt and pepper shakers are fantastic! They look just like the ones I see in restaurants. I love the forgotten sprouting potato.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine. I am having a lot of fun with this one. I may make a few more spuds before deciding on one. I think it is time to invest in a good magnifier though. I think I am making myself blind :)
DeleteI just love this witches house, it is so detailed. I am in the process of creating one of my own but still have a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Anthea! I can't think of a hobby that brings so much joy. I will look forward to seeing yours!
DeleteHad a whole bucket of potatoes The Engineer put in the furnace room go *feral* and they looked just like that! Scared the heck out of me when I first discovered it.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that there were so many types of sprouts; it was daunting! I need to "chalk" up the sprouts before baking next time to make them more realistic.
DeleteHello Gayle,
ReplyDeleteGreat work. the pictures look so realistic.
Big hug,
Giac
Thanks, Giac! I am waiting to finish at least one room before asking my boyfriend to take "proper photos". I just jam my phone into the room at this point and hold my breath!
DeleteThe shakers are totally realistic!
ReplyDeleteThank you, the little tubes came in a box of "as is" used items I purchased on ebay. The box was huge and moldy and full of dead roaches. But I found all sorts of items with potential in that box!
